Government - Skills Investment Strategy for 2010-11 (Nov 09)

The Skills Investment Strategy for 2010-11 has finally been published with the government investing £4.4 billion. It plans to spend over £3.5 billion on education and skills training for post 19 learners routed through the Skills Funding Agency.

Skills Minister Kevin Brennan said: "Skills training is an investment in an individual and their ability to get on in life, an investment in the productivity of our companies and in our future economic growth. We need to invest in the right training, to encourage more employers and individuals to buy into skills and to ensure a more productive use of skills across the UK economy."

The long awaited re-vamped PRINCE2 exams will be available from June. The main difference is that the content will be based around 2 manuals: 'Managing Projects Using PRINCE2' and 'Directing Projects Using PRINCE2'.
